As part of the AURA Suare design talks event series,Istanbul Architecture and Urbanism Research Academy – AURA Istanbul is hosting American architect, author, and professor Charlie Hailey, who works in the fields of architectural theory, history and philosophy, and design\/construction pedagogy.<\/p>\n

The speech titled “Reflective Building: Intersections of Design\/Build & Ecological Thinking”, which will be the opening conference of the Design\/Build Workshop organized by Yeditepe University Faculty of Architecture with the support of TUBITAK B\u0130DEB, will take place on Thursday, June 9 at 19.00 at AURA Istanbul.<\/p>\n

Charlie Hailey<\/strong><\/p>\n

Charlie Hailey is an architect, writer, and professor. A Guggenheim Fellow and Fulbright Scholar, he is the author of six books, including The Porch: Meditations on the Edge of Nature<\/a>,\u00a0Camps: A Guide to 21st Century Space<\/a>,\u00a0Slab City: Dispatches from the Last Free Place<\/a>, and\u00a0Spoil Island: Reading the Makeshift Archipelago<\/a>. Hailey teaches design\/build, studio, and theory at the University of Florida, where he was recently named\u00a0Teacher\/Scholar of the Year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
