Neil Leach – Alien Intelligence: An Introduction to AI for Architects
[ENG]
AURA Istanbul, in collaboration with Responsive Ground Research Lab., is delighted to host architect, curator, and writer Neil Leach, who teaches at Harvard University GSD, the European Graduate School, Tongji University, and the University of Southern California, for a keynote lecture titled “Alien Intelligence: An Introduction to Artificial Intelligence for Architects.”
The lecture will be followed by a panel discussion featuring architect and academic Can Uzun and independent researcher Özgür Kavurmacıoğlu, co-founder of Responsive Ground Research Lab.
“Alien Intelligence: An Introduction to AI for Architects
Everyone is talking about AI these days. But what exactly is AI? How did it evolve? And what potential does it have to influence the future? This lecture takes you on a roller coaster ride looking at the extraordinary – but often somewhat terrifying – potential of what is arguably the most significant invention of humankind. The lecture concludes that we are about to face a radically different form of intelligence – an ‘alien intelligence’ – that will far exceed human intelligence, and completely transform the discipline of architecture.”
*The event will be held in English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
