Sinan İzgi / Archıtect – Foundıng Member
After finishing his studies in Istanbul Sankt Georg Austrian High School, he graduated from Mimar Sinan University, School of Architecture, as Master Architect in 1983. While he was still an undergraduate, he won an award in the Aga Khan competition ‘Time and Space in Cumalıkızık’.
After his graduation, he worked abroad as a site architect for a short time. In 1986, while he was enrolled in the PhD program in the field of Urban Design in Mimar Sinan University, School of Urban Planning, he started his own practice, İzgi Architectural Design. Up to the present, he managed about four hundred projects and their implementation in diverse subjects and different scales.
One of his projects was published in the catalog for the Great Egyptian Museum Competition in 2003.
The educational work he started in Yıldız Technical University School of Architecture as a visiting lecturer in 2004 continues in Mimar Sinan University as project workshop advisor since 2008.
In addition to his work at the University, he lectures about ecology, sustainable design and planning on diverse platforms as well as working as workshop supervisor.
